Final Note – Issue #4

Tons of crazy Final Note notes, folks!

My very good friend (and Senior Art Director for One Louder Magazine) – Karl Reed – moved! Not around the block moved, but rather a 3-states away move! Never fret, for he still adds his magic touch to One Louder Magazine. However, instead of us getting together to view and make last minute edits, additions, removals, etc, we now do that on our own machines on our own time. Miss ya, Karl!

In the November 2010 issue of One Louder Magazine, I interviewed Chris Ballew. He discussed his work with the Presidents of the United States of America, Caspar Babypants and more. At the time, Caspar Babypants had just released This Is Fun! Caspar’s latest album – Sing Along! – was released on September 16th, 2011. One good dude with a ton ‘o good songs!

Another interview in the November 2010 issue was with Chris Gibson who discussed ‘Tuning the Air’. Sadly, Tuning the Air just announced their final season. It is a super-cool show and an amazing experience…don’t miss it! It runs every Thursday from October 6th – December 15th at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center in Seattle. Doors open at 7:45pm, show is at 8:00. Entrance is only $10.

Last October, Red Fang front man, Bryan Giles, was interviewed. As each issue of One Louder Magazine is released another great thing keeps happening for the guys. This time around, they recently signed on for a North American tour with Mastodon and Dillinger Escape Plan. Click here for tour dates.

Lastly, another very good friend of mine – DJ Magana – decided to step down as front man for Seattle-based band, Jellyneck. I dig DJ and I dig Jellyneck. I know good things are in store for both of them in the future. Be sure to catch Jellyneck – with DJ – before both carry on with new adventures!
